Dobsonville Artisinal Food Market

The Dobsonville Artisanal Food Market is an innovative retail development proposal to create a dynamic urban market for artisanal food production and the selling thereof. Food production in support of food security and education is the underlying theme where the local community will be trained to produce food through urban farming technologies and sold by them. The development incorporates sustainable urban design principles, providing convenience retail for surrounding neighborhoods. The development includes a public square, with public amenities that promote community gatherings and artist performances.

A section for existing informal traders will also be incorporated into the design, resulting into a retail development that includes restaurants, line shops, training facilities, urban farming and markets and informal trading.
